SUMMARY:Sandoval County/Rio Rancho first Pride Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The free\, family-friendly festival is entirely community-funded. Expect a Rainbow Roadrunner car show\, live entertainment\, vendors\, food trucks\, face painting\, a photo booth\, a bouncy house and performances by the New Mexico Women’s Chorus\, the New Mexico Gay Men’s Chorus and New Mexico’s Pride Band: Encantada. Sign language interpreters will be on site and private security has been hired. \n\nThis event marks the first-ever LGBTQ+ celebration in Sandoval County.\nIt is an entirely community-led and community-funded grassroots effort\, rather than a sponsored city event.\nThe initiative was sparked by a 2025 community assessment and organized by local advocates\, including City Councilor Deb Dapson.
