Julieta is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She has worked as a psychotherapist in community mental health clinics and trained in Functional Family Therapy to provide treatment to reoffending youth in the criminal justice system. Julieta has worked in a hospital setting with high utilizers of the emergency department who struggle with layers of mental health and medical issues and are unhoused.
Julieta worked in collaboration with community partners to find ways of stabilizing individuals who continue to need frequent emergency services. Julieta has always had interest in psychological trauma and is trained in EMDR and Neurobiofeedback. Currently, Julieta works with individuals who are incarcerated due to behaviors stemming from their mental health issues. She is grateful to have the opportunity to bring in their voice and experiences to the court in order to advocate for needed treatment.
