Sandoval County/Rio Rancho first Pride Celebration

The free, family-friendly festival is entirely community-funded. Expect a Rainbow Roadrunner car show, live entertainment, vendors, food trucks, face painting, a photo booth, a bouncy house and performances by the New Mexico Women’s Chorus, the New Mexico Gay Men’s Chorus and New Mexico’s Pride Band: Encantada. Sign language interpreters will be on site and private security has been hired.

• This event marks the first-ever LGBTQ+ celebration in Sandoval County.
• It is an entirely community-led and community-funded grassroots effort, rather than a sponsored city event.
• The initiative was sparked by a 2025 community assessment and organized by local advocates, including City Councilor Deb Dapson.
